We are going on a month long vacation to Russia, and we are going with my 18 month old son. Since this is my first time going for so long (or overseas) I’m wanting traveling tips. Tips for packing, tips for traveling with toddlers, general tips, tips from Russians, anything you’ve got!
PS, we are visiting my inlaws for the first time and will be staying at their house, so I don’t really need hotel tips.
UM, I said Russia, not France, and my husband is from there and speaks fluently. I also speak enough to get around.

first i think you should pack everything for you and your child. everything from clothes, under clothes, toys and things in that categoriey. then i think that you should look on the web or go to book stores and try to learn some french beacuse you are going to be there for a month you dont want to get lost and dont know wat to say to a person when you are lost. if you need more advice email me at or
I’m taking a four month vacation as well and my advice would be to go over everything you use on a daily basis becuase these are the things your going to want to take with you, chances are these are the things you can’t live without. And pack light layers. I’m not sure when your visiting or what part of Russia your going to, but it’s always best to have clothing you can layer, that way your always prepared temp wise.
Also definitly look up travel blogs because they’ll offer tips from people who have already been there. Especially if your an American, reading a blog by an American who’s stayed there will really give you insight. Life in Russia is A LOT different from the US.
