See, if her new family is considering her a daughter, there is no need for her to remember her past and say that she is "adopted" She has a new family now, a new mom and dad, they are her parents, the past is past and if she does not want to mention it, let her live in peace and respect her privacy. Do you think she did not suffer enough that you people want to keep the pain alive?
As regards her religion, if she does not want to comment on that, it is OK too, but there is no harm in saying which one's religion is. Sometimes because of persecution (even if it is ideological only) people do not want to say that they belong to a particular faith. But she should be strong and when people mock her, she should tell them something like "you should learn respect for people of other religions" or something of the sort. She has tomake herself respected

I told the b+ about me and she treated me like dirt. I asked her to come and talk to me and she said I have things to do and went to sow her new bag! To talk to her! dont make me laugh! I dont talk to little children pretending to be adults. If you sleep with children you wake up wet this way or the other.

For some reason she's either ashamed or she feels her past is no one's business. Try talking to her and let her know that her past doesn't make you think any less of her.

Its her decision if she wants people to know she's adopted. You and your friends better keep your mouths shut. Same goes for her religion.
