Some time next year I want to take a trip to Vladimir,Russia for about 2 weeks and I was wondering if it would be easier to rent a car, take a bus, or go by train? I know I will have to get a flight to Moscow and then travel from there to Vladimir, how should I go about getting there and getting around once I arrive? Also will I need and international drivers license in Vladimir?

I recommend the express-train.
Depart daily from the Moscow Kurskiy (metro “Kurskaya”) station.
08:09
14:02
18:00
20:10
Journey time about 3 h

Yes.
Don’t rent a car – Russia is NOT USA!!
It is –
1- expensive
2- not safe
3 – bad roads
4 – you can get lost easy
overally – too much hassels, until you really know how to get around
Russia – i wouldn’t suggest you to do that.
Take a train or bus.
