The president is taking a break with his family this week. In the mean time another family I know, is being evicted and will be moving into an abandoned car, unless they can find someone to take them and their two children ( they have a two year old and a newborn son) in ‘and’ support them. Obamas’ senate has voted against more unemployment and ALL section eight housing has been closed for months in this area. I have two families living here, I can’t support any more. I feel so useless. There are dozens of families here who have no where to go and no services to turn to. I feel like we live in 1960 Russia. It is getting very hopeless and desperate here and I want to cry! Crime is up and I am also scared for them. Is there any an agency that can help them?
P.S. I need real answers, this is a desperate question!!!!!
To lilJoker: There is one shelter here that is taking single men. The rest are full and closed to more requests. They won’t even take applications. They told me that the wait lists are full to two years out.
