Hi, this may sound like a really stupid question but oh well. My friend and I are enlisting in the Army in a month or so (regardless of the answer to this question) but we’re also going on vacation in the summer 2011 to ST. Petersburg in Russia, Moscow, Berlin, and Frankfurt. There are military bases in or near each so we were wondering whether it was possible that we stay on base for a few days and save some cash.

To lilJoker: There is one shelter here that is taking single men. The rest are full and closed to more requests. They won’t even take applications. They told me that the wait lists are full to two years out.

In 2007 i took a vacation to Russia to meet a girl that i had been communicating with over the internet for about four months prior. She is 24 and im 32. I stayed in Russia for about five weeks with her in her flat. Things were very good between us and we hit it off right away. Before i left she applied for a work and travel visa so she could come see me in california. She was approved and arrived about two months later. She ended up staying with me and about 8 months later we were married. Well we have been married now for 2 years but things were very difficult for her getting accustomed to living in southern california, being that she is used to the big city life of St. petersburg. she became very depressed and about 5 months ago she went back to Russia, she just couldnt take it anymore. Well to make a long story short now she wants to come back to get her 10 year green card but does not wish to move back in with me, she want to live in NYC. i still have feelings for her and and want things to work out for her even if we are not together anymore…Well the question i have is this will it still be possible for her to obtain her citizenship living apart from me..and do u think getting a divorce could create any problems for her?
Well just another point here..There was nothing fraudulent about our marriage we had been together for almost 3 years and did just about everything together. But after being here for so long and not being able to find work, which is pretty difficult for even people who are even from here, she became very depressed and thats when things started falling apart. She went back to Russia to take a step back and try and find herself again. Ive been back to russia since she left and while i was there things were fine between us. She wishes to return here if possible but finds it too difficult to live in a place where she cant even find a job…I would never force a person to stay where she could never be happy…So i was just wondering what would be the best option for her to stay and still be able to obtain her citizenship.

Which order should I chose to visit these countries all in one vacation..from one to another. Trying to make some sort of an itinerary for the trip..not great with geography, also some are more expensive to fly to than others..so I am trying to think of the most cost efficient way to see all these countries in one trip LEAVING FROM NEW JERSEY USA. HELP!

Former Sinai-Grace physician charged with abducting daughter to his native Russia.

WEST BLOOMFIELD — Federal authorities brought international kidnapping charges Tuesday against a former West Bloomfield physician, alleging he snatched his 7-year-old daughter from his ex-wife the day after Christmas and flew her to his native Russia.

Dr. Victor Nathan Adlai, 42, contacted Sinai-Grace Hospital from Moscow on Jan. 9 to say he was quitting his job as an anesthesiologist, according to records filed in federal court in Detroit. Adlai had been due to return from a scheduled vacation on Jan. 5.

Russia is not a signatory to an international civil agreement on child abductions signed by the United States at The Hague in 1988.

The United States also has no applicable extradition treaty with Russia, but the charges were filed so Adlai can be arrested if he returns to the country, said Gina Balaya, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Detroit.

International parental abduction is a three-year felony. One State Department estimate said about 1,000 children are abducted from the country by one of their parents each year.

Eugenia Adlai, the mother of Amanda Adlai, “has not seen her daughter since Victor Nathan Adlai picked her up,” according to an FBI affidavit attached to the complaint. Her daughter phoned her from Moscow on Dec. 29 to say she was with her father and the father has also e-mailed several times, the affidavit says.

“Adlai has not provided any information or indication that he has purchased airfare to return Amanda Alexandra Adlai to the United States,” the affidavit said.

The Adlais were divorced last year after 15 years of marriage and the Oakland County Circuit Court awarded the parents joint custody.

A spokeswoman for Sinai-Grace Hospital declined comment.

Meanwhile in my vacation in Russia, i’m 16 and went with my parents and younger brother. I was there at the beach and then she probably noticed that i’m foreign, but especially since i’m considered as good looking. So, i sat there at some stone/rock thing where you can sit on. She sits next to me and smiles, wanted to talk. (She’s 17 FYI) Her English isn’t that good but at least i could understand her. She isn’t one of those dirty girls who sleep with every man. She was very sweet, trusting. And my parents had no trouble with her coming to my hotel room asking to go out with her. When i was about to leave, i asked her what her MSN was.
